About The Position
The Area Maintenance Technician supports multiple club locations by ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently. This role plays a critical part in delivering a positive member experience through preventative maintenance, repairs, and quick response to facility needs.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical skills required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must own a personal set of tools
- Comfortable traveling between locations
- Strong communication skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Previous maintenance, mechanical or repair experience required
- Willing to train the right candidate on fitness equipment
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair gym and exercise equipment
- Perform facility inspections and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Identify and address potential safety hazards
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Communicate and document maintenance issues using our computerized management system
- Complete repairs efficiently and follow up on outstanding work orders
- Travel between multiple club locations within the assigned market
- Maintain professional interactions with members and team members
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Provide excellent customer service
- Be proactive, dependable, and willing to go above and beyond
