About The Position

The Area Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating work orders for production equipment, attending meetings with manufacturing and engineering personnel to develop scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements, and inspecting machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. This role utilizes basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies. The technician will also train and mentor less experienced technicians, develop processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime, and lead work efforts for specific project tasks. Compliance with company attendance policies, including occasional overtime, is required. The position involves working in team environments, solo work, and collaborating with all levels of management, engineering, and personnel. Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives is also expected. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Certification in mechanical, electrical, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in mechatronics preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Minimum of five years related experience in a maintenance role.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items.

Nice To Haves

  • 24/7 operations manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with vacuum casting furnaces, injection press machines, and/or Fanuc & Motoman robotic systems is preferred.
