About The Position

The Area Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating work orders for production equipment, inspecting machines, troubleshooting and repairing equipment deficiencies, and developing processes to improve equipment uptime. This role involves working with manufacturing and engineering personnel, training junior technicians, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and may involve occasional overtime.

Requirements

  • Certification in mechanical, electrical, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in mechatronics preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Minimum of five years related experience in a maintenance role.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items.

Nice To Haves

  • 24/7 operations manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with vacuum casting furnaces, injection press machines, and/or Fanuc & Motoman robotic systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work orders for production equipment.
  • Attend meetings with manufacturing and engineering personnel to develop scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Utilize basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies.
  • Train and mentor less experienced technicians on maintenance best practices for their respective area and equipment.
  • Develop processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime.
  • Lead work efforts for specific project tasks.
  • Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.
  • Ability to work in team environments, solo work and working with all levels of management, engineering, and people.
  • Willing to participate in continuous improvements initiatives within our process to enhance the work task.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Anticipated Pay Range: $65K-75K per year
