About The Position

Under the direction of the Area Welfare and Self-Reliance Manager (AWSRM), this role leads efforts to build and coordinate strategic humanitarian relationships with organizations, governments, and other community leaders and facilitates humanitarian efforts throughout the Area, managing humanitarian projects, initiatives, and programs or other designated operations. This role assists the Church in providing individuals and families access to basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, sanitation, education, etc.) as aligned with the 5 Year Area Humanitarian Plan, helping people become economically, emotionally, and physically self-reliant, and supporting Area efforts to prepare for and respond to disasters. Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work. From the IT professional who develops an app that sends the gospel message worldwide, to the facilities manager who maintains our buildings— giving Church members places to worship, teach, learn, and receive sacred ordinances—our employees seek innovative ways to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
