Requirements

  • Post secondary education, ideally in business management, hospitality, facilities coordination, Environmental Services. Equivalent experience and education may be considered.
  • Must be able to complete a Criminal Record Check as well as Vulnerable Sector check as well as Provincial Government Security Clearance.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years in similar or progressive roles in hospitality, guest services and catering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety programs, return to work/modified duties programs and strong familiarity with WCB/COR Audits and other related safety programs.
  • Minimum 5 -7 years in progressive leadership, supervisory, and managerial roles.
  • High level of proficiency in MS office suite applications.
  • Project Management & Project analysis: Ability to read, analyze, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports and determine the status of the job regarding schedule and costing.
  • Strong financial management experience; budget creation, forecasting, interpreting financial data (profit and loss statements).
  • Ability to pass both a standard background check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct multiple teams through their daily activities.
  • Arrange all food services across multiple locations ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Lead your team through food safety training and lead a strong safety culture within a very high volume food service environment within a Corrections facility.
  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitors the training and development of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Schedule and manage the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following physical and food safety regulations.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
