About The Position

The Area Field Supervisor position involves managing an area with multiple service technicians and rental equipment with little or no supervision. This individual is expected to have leadership abilities, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and use their knowledge to manage, teach, and share with other employees. They will also provide recommendations to Flogistix management to improve safety, operations, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Ability to physically operate a Company owned service vehicle (automatic or standard shift, DOT or Non-DOT regulated).
  • Ability to lift and/or carry at least up to 75 pounds for a short distance.
  • Ability to physically stand and pull or push on large wrenches.
  • Ability to perform squatting, kneeling, stretching, and climbing.
  • Ability to step over small piping no more than 24” in height.
  • Ability to step on and off compressor skids no more than 18” in height.
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 20’ in height.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all Flogistix Policies and ensure employees represent Flogistix professionally and courteously.
  • Enforce all Flogistix Safety Policies, report incidents/accidents, and stop unsafe acts. Employees have 'Stop Work Authority' for unsafe acts.
  • Supervise Lead Service Technicians, Service Technicians, P.M. Service Technicians, and other service personnel in the designated area, overseeing field and shop work on Flogistix rental compressors and third-party work.
  • Assist in advising the Area Manager on hiring and termination of employees, and enforce disciplinary actions.
  • Plan maintenance tasks and repairs, including schedules for routine repairs and maintenance on Flogistix rental compression and third-party work.
  • Help plan and enforce the Flogistix Rental Compression Maintenance Program, ensuring all scheduled repairs and maintenance are completed properly.
  • Review Field Service Reports to identify necessary changes to service procedures or maintenance schedules. Review parts charged or used for repairs.
  • Ensure all company-issued equipment, including tools and company vehicles, is maintained to standards.
  • Coordinate Service Technicians' compressor runs based on geographic area, compressor size, and technician ability.
  • Track customer callouts to rental compressors and communicate with customers regarding callouts, mechanical issues, and technician interactions.
  • Perform weekend and after-hours work as required, and be available by cell phone for emergencies, dispatch, or consultations.
  • Optimize the performance of all assigned units using tools like Flux and VNC to identify and correct issues causing low run-time or sub-optimal performance.
  • Perform overnight travel out of the service area as required.
