As an Area Field Manager, you will be responsible for actively promoting the U-Haul brand and educating our independent business partners and leaders on the benefits and advantages of becoming a U-Haul dealer. This role offers flexibility to manage, plan and execute your day-to-day workload, and involves working with small businesses within a designated route to prospect, open, and grow the U-Haul dealership organization. You will develop and manage business relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships, providing professional insight into local markets and training dealers on areas for potential growth. The position also requires managing the route's profit and loss through careful analysis to grow the route through transactions by providing products and services to the communities served. Additionally, you will service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays, work with support staff to ensure the success of dealerships within your route, operate a stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle for equipment distribution, perform minor repairs and maintenance on U-Haul equipment, and arrange for the recovery of lost, stolen, or abandoned U-Haul equipment. Participation in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University is also required.
