The Area Director oversees and manages all aspects of individual care and team member duties in assigned area. This role involves assisting the Regional Director in marketing Daybreak services, attending important individual meetings, ensuring services are provided as per IPC, and maintaining compliance with various state regulations including TDMHMR, HCS, DADS, TxHmL, and DB-MD Waiver programs. The position also includes auditing service delivery notes, overseeing the purchase of adaptive aids and home modifications, managing individual utilization, assessing team member and individual interactions, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. The Area Director is authorized to approve expenses up to $500.00, serves as the Local Safety Coordinator and Rights Committee Team Member, and provides input on regional budgets. Additionally, this role involves assisting in complaint resolution, coordinating strategic planning and growth with the Regional Director, upholding Daybreak's Guiding Principles, preparing monthly billing reviews, marketing the Daybreak program, approving time sheets, and maintaining regular attendance and timeliness. The Area Director directly supervises various administrative and support team members, handling employment actions such as interviewing, hiring, disciplining, rewarding, evaluating, and terminating employees. They are responsible for ensuring all team members are adequately trained on Daybreak's philosophy, policies, procedures, and individual PDPs before working with individuals. This includes ensuring the corrective action process is followed for policy violations and compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as scheduling drug screens.
