About The Position

As an Area Director in California with Consonus, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and direction of rehabilitation services in all facilities with an assigned customer. You will lead a team of dedicated therapists and develop the fiscal integrity of our services through sound management of human resources while ensuring the quality of clinical programming to accomplish optimal patient outcomes in order to meet or exceed the goals of Consonus and our customers.

Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited education program with the appropriate degrees in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Current state licensure -or- in the process of obtaining appropriate state licensure
  • 5+ years as a therapist is required along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a multi-site Area Director.
  • Able to live and work in the state of California
  • Able to travel for monthly site visits, team appreciation events, and leadership meetings.
  • Must have experience in the long-term care industry, thorough understanding of the impact of healthcare reform and knowledge in PDPM, group and concurrent therapy and ACO’s.
  • Knowledge of CCRCs is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate and function as part of a team, as well as be an effective team leader.
  • Accountable for all aspects of fiscal management and outcomes for the designated rehabilitation departments
  • Ensure compliance of all aspects of personnel management at the facility and regional levels
  • Direct the growth, development and maintenance of the rehabilitation clinical programs to meet the needs of the client population and the business goals of the organization, utilizing your clinical support team
  • Build strong relationships with customers and staff by displaying excellent interpersonal communication, initiative, creative planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Be a Champion of the Journey by maximizing function in physical, emotional, social, and cognitive realms for patients, families, co-workers, and self.
