About The Position

As the Area Director of Sales, you will lead the sales strategy and revenue generation efforts for a portfolio of hotels. This role is responsible for driving top-line revenue performance, developing strategic business partnerships, and supporting property-level sales initiatives across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hotel sales leadership and knowledgeable in both Wyndham and Choice brand systems and sales processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably overseeing multiple properties.
  • Strong experience with Wyndham and/or Choice branded hotels.
  • Proven success driving revenue growth and building market share.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of hotel sales systems, reporting, and market analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the sales efforts for multiple hotel properties within the assigned market.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to solicit new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Support hotels in achieving revenue goals through proactive sales activities and market analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, local businesses, and community partners.
  • Conduct regular property visits and collaborate closely with Operations and General Managers.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, pace reports, and business development updates.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and support on-property sales leaders and sales teams.
  • Assist with RFP responses, brand initiatives, and revenue strategy discussions.
  • Represent the hotels at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed.
