About The Position

Maverick Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a high-performing Area Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership across our Chicagoland portfolio. This is an opportunity for a hospitality finance leader who can connect the numbers to the business, influence decision-making, strengthen accountability, and drive financial performance.

Requirements

• A strategic hospitality finance leader with strong multi-property experience.
• Experience with M3 is required.
• Experienced in financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and financial analysis.
• Comfortable developing pro formas and financial models and evaluating business opportunities.
• A business-minded leader who can translate financial data into action and results.
• Confident partnering with Ownership, senior leadership, and property operators.
• Highly analytical, proactive, and solutions oriented.
• A strong communicator who can make complex financial information simple, clear, and actionable.
• Accountable, collaborative, and committed to high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial performance, accounting oversight, and financial controls across a multi-property portfolio.
• Oversee financial closing, reporting, bookkeeping, and accounting accuracy across designated properties and key corporate operations.
• Lead budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and pro formas for acquisitions and business opportunities.
• Turn financial results into clear insights, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for Ownership and leadership.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting and oversee management fee reporting and collection.
• Lead weekly accounting and financial performance meetings to drive accountability, priorities, and results.
• Partner with General Managers, property finance teams, Ownership, and corporate leadership to strengthen financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost management, financial discipline, and overall portfolio performance.
