About The Position

Area Coordinator – First Resources Corp. Location: Ottumwa, IA Employment Type: Full-Time Lead with Purpose. Support with Heart. First Resources Corp. is growing and seeking a dedicated Area Coordinator to oversee daily operations in our Ottumwa Residential HCBS Services. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities while ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience working with individuals with disabilities OR Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance
  • Satisfactory results on a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HCBS and Habilitation programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of HCBS Services in your assigned area
  • Ensure compliance with HCBS standards, state codes, and internal policies
  • Coordinate and develop Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs)
  • Supervise and support staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling
  • Maintain communication with families, service providers, and funding bodies
  • Monitor individual rights, safety, and service quality
  • Participate in on-call rotation and fill shifts as needed
  • Manage documentation, funding authorizations, and individual records
  • Promote a positive culture and proactive risk management
