The Office of Residence Life at Fairfield University seeks to promote the integration of each student’s mind, body and spirit in community. The Office of Residence Life supports all residential and commuter undergraduate students in providing a welcoming home and community founded in a shared sense of responsibility. The Area Coordinator position is a dynamic, live-in position responsible for student formation, community development, and facilities management of a residential area comprising 200-400 residents. In this role, Area Coordinators are seen as role models, facilitators, leaders and essential persons in the effective operations of the Residence Life program. This on-campus, live in position can be demanding of personal time especially during peak hours. The duties of the Area Coordinator may vary in each area due to the student population who resides in that area.
