The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), a comprehensive residential and commuter institution offering undergraduate and selected master's degree programs, is seeking an Area Coordinator for Residential Curriculum and Student Leadership. This is a management/supervisory position within the Residence Halls Department. The role involves leading the implementation of the department's Residential Curriculum, developing learning outcomes, coordinating educational initiatives, assessing programming effectiveness, and collaborating with campus partners. Additionally, the position is responsible for the administration of the Resident Assistant program, including supervision, recruitment, selection, training, and performance evaluation. The Area Coordinator will also supervise Graduate Assistants, establish work expectations, provide mentoring, and delegate projects. Administrative duties include maintaining student staff records, preparing reports, assisting with departmental planning, and ensuring confidentiality of student records. The role also focuses on student leadership development by creating curriculum, coordinating leadership opportunities, and mentoring student leaders. Residential programming oversight, student conduct management, crisis management, and housing operations support are also key components of this position. The Area Coordinator will serve as a member of the professional on-call rotation and respond to emergencies within residential communities.
