About The Position

This role is for an Area Business Manager (ABM) in Rare Cardiac Disease, targeting healthcare providers (HCPs) across multiple disciplines such as Cardiologists, Nuclear Medicine Specialists, and Advanced Practice Providers within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs)/Health Systems and group practice accounts. The ABM is responsible for executing the sales strategy for Vyndamax per approved indications and promoting ATTR-CM disease awareness among appropriate customer stakeholders. The role requires strong business acumen and an expert understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem to develop in-depth sales business plans. In collaboration with other customer-facing colleagues, the ABM will execute these plans to achieve or exceed target sales and account goals, utilizing approved marketing resources to educate customers, build relationships, and drive performance. The incumbent must strictly adhere to all company policies and applicable government regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor the execution of Territory business plans
  • Demonstrated history of strong teamwork / collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills are required with a demonstrated history of applying market / customer insights to inform sales planning and execution
  • Demonstrated track record of assessing customer (Account and/or HCP) needs and bringing relevant and appropriate tools / resources to drive performance
  • Consistently follows and supports company policies
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize customer opportunities and projects to maximize impact, leveraging data and stakeholder input for optimal decision-making.
  • Develop territory business objectives (business plans) and define key performance metrics aligned with brand objectives to meet or exceed goals.
  • Maintain active customer profiles, plans, and data sets using company planning resources.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine call planning to optimize schedules based on local territory factors like access, geographic span, collaborative commitments, and customer alerts.
  • Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches (e.g., Customer Focused Selling Approach (CFSA), Strategic Account Selling (SAS)) to achieve sales targets.
  • Understand complex selling environments within each local market.
  • Utilize approved brand messaging via CSFA to align with customer priorities, tailoring messages based on segment and individual customer needs.
  • Adapt messaging appropriately in complex selling environments involving specialists and comprehensive care teams.
  • Partner with customers to connect Pfizer resources and services to better meet patient needs.
  • Grow and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of local market factors and customer landscape.
  • Possess in-depth expertise in ATTR-CM disease, related diagnostic procedures, and the Vyndamax clinical profile.
  • Educate customers on ATTR-CM disease to raise awareness.
  • Educate customers on diagnostic procedures for ATTR-CM using approved messaging and resources to support patient identification and treatment.
  • Demonstrate the brand value proposition as a solution to customer and patient needs per indications.
  • Implement approved marketing educational programs across customer segments and present approved materials to deliver value-added messaging compellingly and compliantly.
  • Demonstrate change agility in a dynamic marketplace, coping effectively with change and acting without all details.
  • Coordinate with other customer-facing teams to elevate the customer experience with a BM 3.3 mindset.
  • Coordinate with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as appropriate to accelerate internal approaches to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with Rare Disease ROC (Cross Functional Account Team) Members, such as Key Account Managers, where appropriate and compliant.
  • Proactively gather customer insights and understand the impact of changing market dynamics, connecting insights to anticipate business opportunities/threats across local markets.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of market/customer data by utilizing reports and applying insights in local planning.
  • Act decisively by prioritizing resource utilization to meet customer needs.
  • Provide key HQ colleagues (Brand Marketing, Planning & Innovation, Payer and Channel Access (PCA) teams) with local and customer-specific insights for crafting market-specific materials.
  • Pursue individual learning opportunities and seek ways to build, challenge, and add value in current assignments.
  • Understand and manage own interpersonal strengths and limitations, recognizing others' responses to behaviors.
