About The Position

Under close supervision, performs basic architectural assignments receiving specific and detailed instruction as to tasks required and results expected. This role involves preparing and modifying architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc., utilizing CAD/BIM. The intern will develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards and incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects. Responsibilities also include preparing 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings, building models or preparing project boards for client/project team review, and taking personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices. A commitment to external and internal client service is also expected.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an architecture or related degree program.
• Possess basic hand and CAD/BIM drafting skills.
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop.
• Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship with an architectural or interior design firm preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit preferred.
• Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.

Responsibilities
