About The Position

AECOM is hiring an Architecture Designer for early-career opportunities, with a stated start as soon as available and career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The role is based in Arlington, Virginia, and has a hybrid work location model. Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, the designer may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets. The role may also coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments working on an assigned project, and assist with training and evaluating architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Responsibilities

Perform basic architectural and engineering calculations.
Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
Perform technical assignments of moderate complexity under the direction of the Supervising Architect and within approved schedules and budgets.
Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments participating in an assigned project.
Assist in training and evaluating assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
