About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Architecture Designer III in Boston, MA. This role involves preparing designs, drawings, renderings, presentations, specifications, reports, and related materials for various building types. The designer will perform architectural calculations for spatial design and programming, and is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings. A key aspect of the role is understanding and applying codes, materials, scale, architectural themes, metrics, and construction standards. The position requires producing 3D models from schematic design through construction documents using multiple drafting platforms and utilizing physical and digital media to explore design feasibility and articulate design vision. The Architecture Designer III will also organize and coordinate with small teams, including outside consultants, to complete work tasks on schedule, and will assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design personnel. Approximately 5% domestic travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field of study and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation, OR Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience
  • Revit
  • Autocad
  • Adobe Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • 3D modeling skills in SketchUp, Lumion or Rhinoceros
  • Ability to become a licensed architect within 6 months of hire
