About The Position

Brianna Michelle Design is a luxury interior design firm based in Winter Park, Florida, specializing in high-end residential interiors. Our team works on detailed, custom projects where thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail are essential. We are looking for an experienced Architectural & Technical Interior Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who is confident in AutoCAD, understands residential construction and architectural detailing, and can independently produce accurate, comprehensive drawing packages. The Technical Interior Designer will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed technical drawings that support our design projects from concept through installation. We are looking for someone who brings more than basic drafting skills. The ideal candidate understands how interior spaces are constructed, can translate design concepts into accurate technical documentation, and is comfortable working on complex custom residential projects. This is a hands-on position requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in technical interior design, architectural drafting, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Demonstrated experience producing detailed construction drawings for residential interior design projects.
  • Strong knowledge of custom cabinetry, millwork, architectural detailing, and interior construction methods.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural and construction drawings.
  • Strong understanding of dimensions, materials, clearances, and construction requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve technical inconsistencies.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced design environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A portfolio demonstrating technical drawing experience is required.
  • Ability to sit at desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits, vendor meetings, and installations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with luxury residential interior design firms.
  • Experience coordinating with architects, builders, fabricators, and custom millwork vendors.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling software.
  • Experience developing custom furniture and specialty fabrication drawings.
  • Experience managing technical drawing packages across multiple active projects.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings, including floor plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
  • Develop comprehensive technical drawing packages for high-end residential interior design projects.
  • Create detailed drawings for custom cabinetry, millwork, built-ins, and other specialty architectural elements.
  • Translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate construction-ready drawings.
  • Review architectural plans and coordinate technical details with the design team, architects, contractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy and consistency throughout project revisions.
  • Identify potential design conflicts, dimensional discrepancies, and constructibility concerns before drawings are issued.
  • Assist with specification documentation and technical information required for purchasing, fabrication, and installation.
  • Manage multiple projects and drawing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the design and project management teams to ensure technical documentation aligns with project requirements.
