About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and quality checks throughout the production process for structural and architectural precast concrete products. This role ensures all products meet PCI, company, and project specifications prior to shipment. The Quality Technician works closely with production and quality teams to identify issues, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Basic math skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to use measuring and testing tools accurately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • ACI or PCI certification preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, concrete, construction, or precast environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-pour, post-pour, and final inspections on precast concrete products
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials, equipment, or test results to QC leadership
  • Ensure products meet PCI, company, and project specifications prior to shipment
  • Maintain accurate quality control documentation in compliance with required standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and project specifications
  • Use testing tools and equipment such as slump cones, air meters, scales, ovens, and sieves
  • Conduct accurate measurements using tape measures and other precision tools
  • Perform basic material testing and analysis to support quality assurance processes
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following all safety procedures
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and QC teams to resolve quality issues
