About The Position

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling architectural metal components using shop drawings and standard fabrication practices. This role supports production by delivering quality work while developing advanced fabrication skills. Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment physical/musculoskeletal exam
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must pass an audiogram test
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • The employee is continuously required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–7 years of metal fabrication experience
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; basic TIG preferred
  • Ability to read shop drawings and perform standard layouts
  • Experience with common fabrication tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate metal components using steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Perform MIG welding and basic TIG welding
  • Read and interpret shop drawings with minimal supervision
  • Cut, grind, fit, and assemble parts accurately
  • Operate shop equipment (saws, grinders, drill press, etc.)
  • Maintain quality standards and follow specifications
  • Support senior fabricators on complex assemblies
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
