About The Position
TCA Architects is seeking an Architectural Job Captain for their Oakland office. This role is responsible for design development, construction document preparation, and team coordination on multifamily and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Revit, have a strong understanding of building materials and construction techniques, and possess general construction knowledge. TCA Architects specializes in planning and designing high-density multifamily housing, retail, mixed-use, and hospitality developments, focusing on creating award-winning, sustainable projects that benefit communities and the environment. With studios in multiple locations, TCA is one of California's fastest-growing architectural firms, with a significant number of residences currently in development.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years architectural experience
- 2 years of experience in multi-family projects required
- Minimum of 4 years Revit experience required
- Working knowledge of building construction types l, lll and V
- Strong understanding of IBC, CBC and disabled access requirement
- Good understanding of consultant drawings and systems
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of construction administration experience preferred
- California licensed Architect or on track to become licensed preferred
