About The Position

The role of an Architectural Design Intern is focused on gaining meaningful, hands-on experience while supporting architectural project teams throughout the design process. As an intern, you will be welcomed as a contributing member of our project teams, not just as an observer, as you will gain real responsibility and mentorship from professionals who are invested in your growth. This will include learning how project teams translate client goals and design intent into thoughtful, functional spaces. By the end of your internship, you will have contributed to real project deliverables, strengthened your design and documentation skills, have exposure to a variety of project types, and gain clarity on our path within the architecture profession.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Interest in developing a career within the architecture and design industry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Providing a portfolio or work samples is encouraged.
  • Familiarity with Revit or similar design software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams with developing design solutions and preparing drawings and construction documents across project phases.
  • Use Revit and other design software to support project development while building proficiency with firm standards.
  • Participate in project meetings to understand workflows and contribute positively through open communication and accountability.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities accurately, on time, and with attention to detail.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support project and team needs.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and other disciplines to understand the integrated design process.
  • Organize information, incorporate feedback, and communicate effectively to support coordination efforts.
  • Engage in design reviews and discussions to build understanding of design principles, documentation, and constructability.
  • Observe best practices, seek feedback, and apply lessons learned to improve your work.
  • Engage in mentorship, training, and hands-on project experience to support your architecture pathway.
  • Build foundational architectural and technical skills through exposure to real-world projects and increasing responsibility.
  • Gain insight into the architecture profession, project delivery, and career paths within the A/E industry.
  • Participate in firm activities, professional development sessions, and networking opportunities when available.
