About The Position

Brockington and Associates is seeking a senior architectural historian and project manager based in our Atlanta GA office for architectural history and archival project work throughout the US. Requirements

  • MA/MHP/MS in architectural history, historic preservation, history, archaeology, or a closely related field
  • At least five years of experience managing architectural history field projects
  • Applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
  • Working familiarity of other environmental statutes and regulations
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis

  • Cross-training in archaeology
  • Interest in both architectural history and archaeology

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fieldwork - including historic resource surveys and evaluations
  • Prepare National Register nominations
  • Conduct archival research using primary and secondary resources
  • Lead highly complex projects involving multidisciplinary project teams
  • Effectively discuss projects with colleagues, clients, and review agencies
  • Work directly with current and prospective clients to generate new projects
  • Prepare and manage budgets and schedules
  • Write professional technical reports and publications
  • Work as a member of a diverse team
  • Manage projects and people
  • Complete other delegated project tasks
