Brockington and Associates is seeking a mid-level field architectural historian and project manager based in our Atlanta, GA office for architectural history and archival project work throughout the US. Requirements

  • MA/MHP/MS in architectural history, historic preservation, history, archaeology, or a closely related field
  • Two to four years of experience managing architectural history field projects
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork, including historic resource surveys and evaluations
  • Ability to prepare National Register nominations
  • Ability to conduct archival research using primary and secondary resources
  • Ability to lead complex projects involving multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ability to effectively discuss projects with colleagues, clients, and review agencies
  • Ability to prepare and manage budgets and schedules
  • Ability to write professional technical reports and publications
  • Applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
  • Working familiarity of other environmental statutes and regulations
  • Ability to work as a member of a diverse team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with clients and government agencies
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis

  • Cross-training in archaeology
  • Interest in both architectural history and archaeology
