About The Position

Ameriscan Designs is an American-based millwork construction company that specializes in providing architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, plastic laminates, complex solid surface fabrication, architectural doors and frames as well as metals, glass, stone and upholstery. Our manufacturing philosophy is to build everything on site, so that we may control quality and offer the shortest lead-time in the industry. This position is primarily responsible for creating shop drawings (in AutoCAD/Microvellum) to submit to the customer (General Contractor & Architect). This position is also responsible for using these drawings to program products that will be manufactured by Ameriscan Designs shop employees. The shift is 6:00am - 2:30pm.

Requirements

Experience with Microvellum, AutoCAD drafting, architectural millwork drafting
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of woodworking standards and materials
Familiar with AWI standards
CNC programming and CNC machine capabilities

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2+ years of related experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to present information and respond to questions from project managers

Responsibilities

Read and understand architectural drawings
Create architectural submittal drawings
Draw from scratch, quality, accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models
Demonstrate an understanding of cabinetry construction & terminology
Work daily in a team-based environment
Follow all company safety protocol
Follow complex directions and incorporate redline revisions into shop drawing submittals
Communicate clearly, concisely and specifically any and all details of the work
