About The Position

The Architectural Designer will contribute to projects across all phases of design, from early concept through permitting and construction documentation. The position is well suited to a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and strong Revit proficiency. ROXBOX operates in a fast-paced environment in which projects move quickly, deadlines are firm, and priorities may shift. The role offers direct exposure to modular construction and substantive technical experience supported by an on-site fabrication facility.

Requirements

  • Take ownership of assigned work and follow through to completion.

  • Identify potential architectural concerns and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain current knowledge of construction means and methods, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Revit (required – the primary qualification for this position). Advanced working proficiency necessary
  • Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Mail)

  • Bluebeam
  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from an accredited program.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in architectural design. Relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit. Candidates must be able to model, produce sheet sets, and work with families with minimal direction.
  • Working knowledge of steel frame construction and/or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and ensure accuracy throughout the process.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to modular, prefabricated, or shipping container construction.
  • Familiarity with commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
  • Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, or civil consultants.
  • Progress toward architectural licensure (AXP hours or ARE examinations).

Responsibilities

  • Develop construction documents for permitting and construction.
  • Model and detail projects in Revit and maintain accurate, well-organized models.
  • Revise architectural plans as marked and coordinate all sheets affected by any changes.
  • Support design development from early concept through construction administration.
  • Coordinate with the on-site production team and incorporate feedback into project documentation.
  • Assist with permit submittals and respond to plan review comments.
  • Manage individual workload and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, fabrication personnel, and clients.
