About The Position

The Architectural Designer produces, develops, and refines design solutions for Base's nationwide infrastructure and facilities. Operating with general direction and minimal supervision, you will take projects through every phase—working independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust technical and spatial solutions. This role spans a diverse range of project sizes and scopes, from advanced battery manufacturing plants and regional hubs to corporate spaces. You will own the creation of presentation drawings, 3D digital models, and detailed construction documentation while coordinating closely across disciplines. This demands a self-motivated professional who takes pride in design quality, respects schedule and budget rigor, and operates at the pace required to scale physical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial and technical design experience
  • NCARB- accredited degree in Architecture required
  • Architectural license preferred, or actively working toward licensure
  • Direct experience with corporate headquarters or flagship campus design projects is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with AI image generation using Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini for rapid visual concepts
  • Proven track record in detailed drawing execution and coordination on complex, multi-phased capital projects with minimal direct supervision
  • Deep practical knowledge of MEPFP coordination and digital BIM workflows
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated with exceptional communication skills
  • Eager to take on progressively more responsibility in a high-velocity environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative architectural design solutions across projects varying in size and scope, producing high-quality presentation drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation.
  • Perform architectural assignments with general direction and minimal direct supervision, balancing independent focus with active collaboration across project teams.
  • Assist in the review, development, and execution of design documents that satisfy local building codes, life safety standards, and accessibility regulations.
  • Lead multi-trade BIM coordination, directly integrating MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) systems into architectural design sets.
  • Research construction materials and products, as well as analyze existing structures and projects under construction, to directly inform and elevate design documentation quality.
  • Support the execution of construction administration tasks, reviewing submittals and responding to field inquiries to keep builds moving forward.
  • Contribute actively to team performance by ensuring project deliverables strictly adhere to quality benchmarks, timelines, and budget constraints.
