Sustainability is intrinsic to our design approach. It is an essential ingredient for the design teams throughout the process, adding valuable insights, ideas, and research to the process. For us all good design is sustainable. Perkins Eastman has an immediate need for an Architectural Designer for our Seattle office. We are seeking dedicated, passionate team members with strong individual design and problem-solving skills for immediate opportunities as a Designer. This position requires the candidates to support project team leaders and produce presentations suitable for the Perkins Eastman team and clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
Minimum 0 to 3 years of experience required
Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts to their team.
Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
Proficiency with Revit is required.

Nice To Haves

Rhino and other related design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assisting in all project phases, project sizes and typologies.
Prepare conceptual and schematic design studies, produce project layouts and develop designs in 3D using Revit or other 3D modeling software for client review/approval.
Assist with design development, including the details and process of documenting design.
Assist with preparation of construction drawings and construction detailing.
Review zoning and building codes to ensure that design complies with jurisdictional requirements.
Assist in the constructions administration phase by reviewing shop drawings and assisting in the preparation of supplemental documentation.
Prepare finished material sample boards, physical models, and graphic presentations for client approval.
Assist the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.
