About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Architecture Designer for immediate employment in our Baltimore, MD office. We have exciting opportunities for significant Transportation projects. AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable, and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions. Our Baltimore office boasts national expertise in transit rail and bus rapid transit stations and facilities. Work ranges from early planning and design to the delivery of construction documents and the execution of construction-phase support services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years in architecture experience covering aspects of building design, including survey, design development, construction documents, construction administration, or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
  • Must have experience with AutoCAD 2010 (or higher version) and Autodesk Revit 2014 (or higher version).
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Management experience on BIM projects highly desirable.
  • Understanding of pre-development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating in an assigned project.
  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
