About The Position

An Architectural Designer II is responsible for the design and production of architectural construction documents under the supervision of a Project Architect/Technical Manager/Sr. Project Coordinator. This includes design, setup, and coordination of documents, based on standard architectural practices and applicable codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in an architectural firm/field.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
  • Advanced understanding of architecture, building construction, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Research and apply applicable codes, interaction with code enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, including running a kickoff meeting.
  • Receive and assimilate project information from the Project Manager and/or the client.
  • Work with team to provide appropriate level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Run projects with minimal oversight.
  • Design and produce construction documents and specifications.
  • Complete designated scope of work within allotted time budget.
  • Delegate, review, manage and accept responsibility for work of Architectural Technicians, College Interns and Architectural Designer I work on the team.
  • Manage with minimal assistance, the permitting process, including response to comments for architecture and consultants.
  • Assists in providing Construction Administration Services.
  • Resolves technical issues, answers questions.
  • Maintain CP standards and QC throughout project.
