Cuningham is seeking an Architectural Designer II or Team Leader with 4+ years of experience for their Culver City office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare design and ready to advance towards becoming a licensed Project Architect. Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional architectural experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • A strong interest in building a career designing healthcare environments is required.
  • Experience contributing to projects through multiple phases of design and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continuously improve your craft.
  • A passion for learning, mentoring, and growing into greater project leadership responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare project experience is preferred.
  • Working toward architectural licensure is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative design solutions, coordination efforts, and production documents throughout all phases of design using sketching, 2D and 3D modeling, and computational design methods.
  • Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound documentation that supports successful project delivery.
  • Participate in client presentations and communicate design ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Coordinate BIM models and project documentation internally and with consulting teams.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, site observations, and field verification alongside Project Architects and project leaders.
  • Apply regenerative and sustainable design principles that positively impact the built, social, and natural environments.
  • Research building materials, exterior systems, waterproofing strategies, wall assemblies, vertical circulation, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and support technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support site analysis, massing studies, programming, and space planning efforts.
  • Coordinate with our Specifications team to ensure project quality and consistency.
  • Produce high-quality work while taking ownership of assigned project responsibilities.
  • Continue developing proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office while expanding your skills in Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, and other emerging visualization tools.
