About The Position

BSA is seeking an Architect to join our St. Louis studio. In this role, you will take a leading hand in shaping environments that support healing, learning, and discovery. You will contribute to impactful projects where design excellence and purpose go hand in hand.

Requirements

  • Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Registered Architect with current registration.
  • 10+ years of architectural experience.
  • Experience on all sizes of projects preferred.
  • Manage project specific, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • A point of view on the future of architecture and awareness of current trends and innovation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sustainability strategies and associated rating systems.
  • Microsoft Teams environment, including Co-Pilot, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • NCARB certification preferred.
  • Prior work in healing, learning, or discovery environments preferred.
  • Focus in more detail on the horizontal nature of a project.
  • Architecture CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam.
  • Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other transformative design tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Senior Architect to deliver projects.
  • Architectural design and planning process on projects.
  • Assist in client engagement through all processes and tools.
  • Translate complex programmatic and client needs into innovative, functional, and inspiring design solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation of design documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout while aligning conceptual design objectives with project specific detailing.
  • Coordinate and support the architectural design delivery process across all disciplines ensuring all team members are working in coordination with the project vision.
  • Participate in project reviews and lead design discussions that elevate the quality of work.
  • Balance creativity with project constraints, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Mentor emerging architects and share insights around design thinking and project storytelling.
  • Engage in lessons learned reviews to continuously improve design outcomes.
