About The Position

Ghoman Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural designs, preparing construction documentation, coordinating with consultants and stakeholders, and supporting projects from concept through completion. This is an in-person position requiring close collaboration with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, creativity, and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience (Required).
  • Proven experience in commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or institutional projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating architectural design and technical expertise.
  • Experience managing projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, materials, and detailing.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Proficient in SketchUp
  • Proficient in Lumion
  • Proficient in V-Ray
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Architect or actively pursuing architectural licensure.
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or hospitality projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and green building standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and project management software.
  • Construction administration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural concepts, layouts, and innovative design solutions.
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents.
  • Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials for client and project meetings.
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, and specialty consultants.
  • Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and present design concepts and project updates.
  • Review project specifications and maintain design quality throughout all project phases.
  • Support projects from conceptual design through design development and construction documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve technical and design-related challenges.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with construction administration and site coordination activities when required.
  • Stay current with industry trends, construction technologies, and sustainable design practices.
