This role involves leadership in planning, developing solutions, and managing project budgets and schedules. The architect will supervise the preparation of technical drawings, create and present client presentations, and ensure construction documentation meets quality standards and best practices. A key aspect is incorporating Integrated Sustainable Design solutions and mentoring less experienced staff. The role requires fostering collaboration, ensuring adherence to document standards, and managing project software. Personal responsibility for sustainable work practices is also expected. The architect will interface with clients to verify requirements, conduct progress reviews, and deliver final presentations. Teamwork involves analyzing and developing architectural documents, resolving technical issues, coordinating with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors, and performing product research. This includes attending site visits, managing shop drawings and samples, and assisting with construction administration. The role also involves writing reports, reviewing plans, and participating in project reviews concerning costs, budgets, and schedules. Clear, concise, and professional communication, both verbal and written, is essential, with regular client interface. QA/QC methods are to be applied throughout the project, and support may be provided to team members in specific areas of expertise or building types. Assistance may also be provided to the Project Manager with defining project work plans and preparing meeting minutes.
