About The Position

Weston and Sampson is seeking an Architectural Project Manager with 12-16 years’ experience for either their Foxborough, MA office. The Facilities group is a multi-disciplinary architectural & engineering design group headquartered in New England and New York, with additional team members located in North Carolina and Florida. This role involves managing architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients, supporting other engineering discipline groups, and contributing to the expansion of the Facility group’s project base. The position requires leading and supporting multi-disciplinary project teams in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities, covering programming, conceptual planning, construction document preparation, and construction administration. The role also includes direct client interaction to establish project and programming needs, supporting budgeting and permitting processes, and providing architectural support to other Weston & Sampson discipline groups.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills.
  • Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and facilities project team members
  • Proven ability to function in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract administration
  • REVIT/BIM fluency is mandatory
  • Strong construction experience and knowledge of architectural technical detailing.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead a project team and guide production of construction documents, including coordination with internal and external engineering disciplines.
  • Professional degree required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Management of architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients.
  • Supporting the company’s other engineering discipline groups.
  • Participating/contributing to the expansion of the Facility group’s growing project base.
  • Lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams in the planning and design of new & renovated facilities.
  • Work includes programming and conceptual planning through construction document preparation and construction administration.
  • Work directly with clients to establish project and programming needs.
  • Support projects through budgeting and permitting processes, including working with estimators to prepare construction and project costs, leading the project through permitting agencies and committees, and assisting the client in acquiring funding through public hearings and meetings.
  • Provide architectural support to other Weston & Sampson discipline groups including Landscape Architecture, Aquatics, Environmental, Transportation, Water, and Wastewater.
  • Participate in professional organizations and internal committees and/or groups.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Mentor and guide the development of junior staff and participate in the growth our Architectural practice.
