About The Position

Lifepoint Health is hiring a remote Architect-Network Engineer, described in the job summary as a Network Security Architect. The position provides enterprise architecture, design, and technical direction for network infrastructure—including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, data center, and cloud connectivity—in a large, distributed healthcare environment. The role translates business, clinical, and security needs into scalable, resilient, and supportable network solutions, and partners with Network Services and other IT teams to ensure solutions align with the IT infrastructure roadmap and can be supported operationally. The architect develops network design standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps; leads design and pilot efforts for new technologies; and provides technical leadership, mentoring, and escalation support. The role collaborates with Network Services, Network Security, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, application teams, and vendors. It also serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to IT leadership, presenting designs, diagrams, and cost analyses for technical, executive, and financial audiences. Travel of up to 25% is required for business needs and may include overnight travel by land or air. Work may take place in office and hospital environments, which are described as well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled; hospital settings may involve hazards or unusual elements requiring appropriate safety precautions. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
