Architect II - Registered Architect

Architect II is a licensed architectural professional who independently performs a wide range of architectural assignments using a high level of professional judgement in all phases of a project from conceptual design through construction. Supports larger size projects and leads defined technical aspects. The position demonstrates advanced technical proficiency, professional independence, collaboration, and provides technical guidance to less experienced architectural staff.

- Experience in all phases of a project from conceptual design through construction
- Experience with architectural design, modeling, and graphic software, including Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, and similar tools
- Experience conducting code research and analysis
- Experience developing and preparing for client presentations and meetings
- Experience leading internal and external project meetings
- Experience applying QA/QC standards to architectural deliverables
- Experience identifying and resolving design and coordination issues
Responsibilities
- Apply specific and advanced technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs.
- Prepare architectural drawings and construction documentation in accordance with established standards, building codes, zoning regulations, sustainability requirements, and scope.
- Utilize architectural design, modeling, and graphic software, including Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, and similar tools to independently develop drawings, models, and visualizations in support of project deliverables.
- Review architectural specifications to ensure alignment with construction documents, technical requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Write reports and specifications.
- Conduct code research and analysis, interpret applicable requirements, and apply findings to inform design decisions, coordination efforts, and documentation.
- Develop and prepare for client presentations and meetings.
- Lead internal and external project meetings; and communicate technical information, decisions, and follow‑up items effectively.
- Apply QA/QC standards to architectural deliverables and assist in identifying and resolving design and coordination issues.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and review support to less experienced architectural staff, reinforcing best practices, standards, and quality expectations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
