Data is the latest critical infrastructure. The creation, storage, sharing, usage, archiving, and deletion of data is integral to our existence in the modern world. In fact, the United Nations has deemed access to the internet as a basic human right. The impact to our built environment spans a wide array of project types and scale. Industry and government have designed sixteen critical sectors where data plays an elemental role in the development, communication, processing, and storage of our vast amounts of data. From command-and-control centers to hyperscale data center campuses and a range of project types in-between; Gensler’s Philadelphia office is expanding our critical facilities services and is looking for a technically proficient architect to lead this emerging practice area. As a Gensler Architect, you will assist in the design process, produce technical documentation, and coordinate with engineering consultant teams. Additionally, you will communicate project progress and coordination to team members to ensure successful project delivery. We are seeking an Architect with a design and technical mindset and a desire to learn, design and deliver Critical Facilities projects.
