About The Position

The Archery Assistant Coach will work under the Head Coach and interact with coaches, parents, and student-athletes as a representative of Christian Academy. The coach is expected to live and coach in a manner that leads student-athletes to righteousness in all areas of life, particularly in their athletic development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to the Christian Academy Mission Statement and athletic philosophy, and be able to encourage partnerships with parents, coaches, students, and other schools. Managerial and coaching experience is also desired.

Requirements

A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit.
A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school.
Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System.
Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind.
Managerial and coaching experience.

Responsibilities

Coach from a biblical perspective and strive to be a true reflection of Jesus.
Create a winning environment through positivity and daily encouragement.
Teach athletes to perform sound, safe, fundamental techniques.
Uphold the Heart of a Warrior characteristics (Confidence, Accountability and Integrity) and instill other characteristics like honesty, loyalty, respect and unity.
Create a Transformational Purpose Statement.
Abide by the responsibilities outlined in the Coaches Handbook.
Follow all CAL School, CAL Athletics, KHSAA and National Federation rules.
Support a K-12 program approach.
Encourage athletes to participate in additional sports/activities.
Meet with Head Coach regularly regarding role and responsibilities.
