Job Summary Summary Assist with day-to-day coverage for the development and support of the Archer GRC tool at Mass General Brigham. This includes but not limited to enhancements of existing modules, development of new modules, platform documentation, system monitoring and ticket support. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's GRC platform. Under the guidance of the Archer Administrator and/or managers, the Archer Engineer I is expected to build out basic applications, layouts, data-drive events, and calculations. They are expected to provide clear, concise documentation for their tasks. They may identify and raise opportunities to improve the Archer platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Knowledge or education in systems engineering or system administration 0-1 year required
  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and system administration principles.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Basic understanding of data structure and database systems.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and contribute to team projects.
  • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Understanding of system monitoring concepts and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic platform administration tasks (installations, patches, configuration, backups).
  • Assist in monitoring Archer performance and availability.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to support Archer and resolve any incidents that may arise.
  • Participate in troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of more senior engineers.
  • Maintain system documentation, including inventory and configuration records, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Execute routine maintenance activities to ensure system health.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing and exchange.
  • Support compliance with security and operational policies.
