About The Position

EMH&T is currently recruiting a Temporary Archaeology Field Technician to join our team and gain valuable experience in the field of Archaeology. This is a temporary position based out of our Columbus, Ohio office and the assignment is expected to last 7-10 weeks.

Requirements

• Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and prior fieldwork experience, preferably in the Ohio Valley region.
• Familiarity with both prehistoric and historic artifact identification is a necessity.
• Must be legally authorized and permitted to work in the United States without time limitation.
• All candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Candidates should have the ability to conduct Phase I (both shovel testing and surface collection), Phase II and Phase III fieldwork as part of a team, including the ability to record data in the field and report results to the field director.
