About The Position
Logan Simpson is hiring a regular full-time Archaeologist based out of its Reno, Nevada office. The position follows a hybrid remote schedule and involves archaeological cultural resources surveys, monitoring, and excavation projects in Nevada, Utah, and adjacent states, as well as technical report writing and preparation. Fieldwork may involve remote locations, camping, extreme temperatures, overnight work, and weekends. The role requires working cooperatively with crew members and supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or a related field.
- Successful completion of archaeological field school.
- At least 1 year of cultural resources management (CRM) experience.
- Good understanding of and ability to identify archaeological features and artifacts during cultural resources survey, monitoring, and excavation fieldwork.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and remote locations; camping may be required.
- Ability to walk up to 10 miles per day over steep terrain for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overnight and on weekends.
- Ability to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with government and Tribal agencies and personnel.
