Archaeologist IV

DudekRemote,
$75,000 - $95,000Hybrid

About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Archaeologist to serve as a technical leader on complex cultural resource management (CRM) projects to join our Florida based team. Direct experience working in Florida (particularly South Florida) is strongly desired, as is the ability to travel and work outside of this region. Archaeological experience in additional states along the Eastern Seaboard is a plus. In this role, you’ll coordinate with clients, lead field investigations, shape research strategies, and apply advanced methods to real-world archaeological challenges. You’ll oversee key technical work — from developing field methodologies and analyzing data to ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. As a subject matter expert, you’ll provide guidance to clients and project teams, mentor junior staff, and help drive high-quality, defensible results. This role requires deep expertise in archaeological field methods, artifact analysis, and geospatial tools, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll also collaborate across teams to keep work aligned with project goals and timelines. Dudek has a strong, invested, and collaborative cultural resources team with members located in surrounding regions. A successful applicant will be proactive, team-oriented, and eager to collaborate with both the cultural resources group and the broader Dudek regional environmental team. You will work closely with, and be supervised by, Dudek’s senior archaeologist on the Florida based team. To thrive at Dudek, you should be comfortable with freedom and accountability. We value collaborative, resourceful, and independent thinkers. We look for curious, solution-focused people who are able to adapt quickly to an ever-changing industry. There is no single way to solve a problem, so we support your creative approaches to solve problems.
