About The Position

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to oversee warehouse and dock operations and maintain safety. The role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Centers’ work therapy program by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits, and by supervising them as directed. The coordinator may handle Production/General Supervisor duties in their absence and perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or Administrator for Business.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Two years of transportation, warehouse, and/or loading dock experience.

Nice To Haves

Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee warehouse and dock operations, maintaining order and safety for items being loaded or unloaded.
Supervise forklift operation as necessary and ensure operators follow safety regulations.
Supervise scale operation and proper recording of weights.
Oversee beneficiaries working on the baler and all baling operations.
Direct incoming material to proper staging areas and ensure saleable items are not discarded.
Oversee paid and unpaid personnel and hold staff accountable for appropriate behavior and language on the dock.
Supervise loading and unloading of ARC trucks and Certified Collection Center (CCC) units, as well as loading bale trucks.
Supervise and guide beneficiaries assigned to work therapy in the warehouse and dock.
Handle Production/General Supervisor duties in their absence.
Support the work therapy program by modeling professional conduct and work habits and providing supervision as directed.
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or Administrator for Business.
