About The Position
Arborist and tree care work scopes in and around the Edmonton area, Experience pruning trees for the City of Edmonton is an asset ISA certified is an asset. Plan and construct landscaped environments including trees, shrubs, lawns and other landscape structures, Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems / disease, Use of chainsaws and other powered hand tools, Pruning and shaping trees, Chipping branches, Grinding tree stumps, Assisting with tree felling, Assisting with ropes and rigging, Aerial lift operation, Operating chainsaws and other tree felling equipment, Delimbing and bucking trees, Climbing trees, Survey and assess designated sites, Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease, Operation of leaf blower and debris removal equipment, Follow all OH&S, municipal and traffic legislation and, Operate according to the company’s safety standards, Dependable Team player, Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs),
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Arborist.
- CSTS 2020
- Leadership for Safety Excellence training (is an asset)
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
- Able to successfully complete a drug & alcohol pre-screening and criminal record check.
- Ability to work long hours (10 – 12 hours per day).
- Must be able to work in varied and extreme (hot) weather conditions
- Physically and capable of lifting +50lbs.
- Strong work ethic
- Safety conscious.
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Dependable Team player
- Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs)
