About The Position
The Arborist Ground Person is an entry-level member of a tree care crew, working alongside arborists on commercial and residential properties. The role provides hands-on, on-the-job training and practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care. Requirements

- Interest in working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to participate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
- A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Learn to safely perform arboriculture work, including pruning trees, rigging, cabling and bracing, and removing hazardous trees.
- Properly maintain and operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Implement work zone safety procedures.
- Assist Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders on the ground and aloft.
- Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
- Learn, understand, and follow all safety rules and company safety policies.
