About The Position

The Arborist Crew Leader leads a tree care crew and is primarily responsible for performing tree care services safely and efficiently. The role involves carrying out and supervising arboriculture work, maintaining and operating equipment, managing and training crew members, ensuring work meets industry and company standards, and communicating with clients. The Crew Leader works as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.

Requirements

• At least three years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Initiative, a positive attitude, a team-oriented approach, and self-motivation.
• Passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.

Nice To Haves

• Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and supervise arboriculture work, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Properly maintain and operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Bring a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to job sites.
• Supervise and manage crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.
• Ensure each crew member is appropriately trained for designated job assignments.
• Ensure tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Communicate with clients, answer questions, and build relationships.
