Arabic Linguist (OCONUS - Saudi Arabia)
About The Position
Mid Atlantic Professionals, Inc. (dba SSI) is seeking a motivated, skilled, and qualified Arabic Linguist to join their family. This position will be stationed in Saudi Arabia (Prince Sultan Air Base). SSI is an 8(m) Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) that provides cleared professionals and solutions for various government agencies. Requirements
- All linguists must be Category II (CAT II, SECRET) and have a minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level three (3) proficiency in their SCRL.
- Active Secret Clearance (Tier 3 is required)
- Active Secret Clearance (CAT II)
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a current passport
- Pass a standard physical examination that includes the following, at a minimum: Medical history, height, weight, blood pressure, HIV antibody and chest X-ray
- Be physically capable of performing duties, functions and activities.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level three (3) proficiency or higher
- Comply with all security requirements
- Comply with necessary theater clearance, training, immunizations and medical requirements
Responsibilities
- Comprehend the SCRL language as spoken and written.
- Speak both of the SCRL required language(s) and English.
- Have familiarity with the cultural context of both the SCRL and English.
- Have knowledge of terminology in specialized fields.
- Observe protocols applicable to different settings.
- Master the modes applicable to these settings.
