Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• 1 year preferred
• Carefirst experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Review and preparation of all hospital claims.
• Ensure the hospital bills a clean claim to the correct third party payor so that the turn around time for payment is minimal and a positive cash flow is maintained for the hospital.
• Perform follow-up until a payment or rejection is received.
• Work in conjunction with other finance departments, displaying initiative, efficiency and correcting problems so that all customer expectations are met.
